About CoZo
CoZo is a concept formed by Linda Mattacks in 2006. It is an abbreviation of Comfort Zone, a concept important to Linda for people to be able to get the most out of their abilities and their lives.
The first Comfort Zone course covered the essentials of company positioning and sales & marketing communications skills for small engineering, technical and IT companies trying to grow in the business to business market.
These types of company are often very good at what they do and very bad at identifying and finding their target audience and then speaking to the right people in their language about the issues that matter to them!
Those who had outsourced these functions or taken on a sales person had nothing but a hole in their pockets to show for it. Our approach (which has been proven many times over) was that it was an easier, quicker and more effective to take one of the less ‘geeky’ people and make him or her a confident ‘front man’ who could talk both big picture and detail.
Linda’s considerable sales, direct marketing, research, networking and training experience coupled with Phil’s broad experience in programming, systems analysis, systems design and implementation, and their combined knowledge of team and project management, customer support and liaison, provided a unique understanding of what was needed and how to best deliver that help.
Further Business Development services and training products followed, for companies of varying sizes, complexities and markets, covering:
- Small business help, ideas and training (where we started out as a company)
- Sales training for dedicated sales personnel
- Telephone sales training for customer service through to appointment setting and cold calling
- Web and blog sites that are customer focused and SEO friendly and effective
Business and personal development are the latest and logical additional focus for us in the, on the face of it, tough times of we’re facing, and we’ve been addressing those too with our carefully selected partners.
One thing that’s obvious: ‘Average’ will get by in a buoyant economy. It will struggle to survive and thrive in any other circumstances. If you’re feeling average or less, getting average or less results and not prepared to accept that, then you need to act!
