Thorne Henderson was launched 1994. The business aims were a) to provide a resource to reduce the obstacles faced by those companies already involved with Direct Mail Marketing and b) to aid those who would like to get involved but were deterred by the seemingly endless and insurmountable obstacles that they were likely to face.

Alastair Fansa, the founder of the company had a background in Estate Agency and realised that while there were many other marketing and distribution companies around, NONE specialised in the specific requirements of the property market.

Soon after, Alastair was joined by David Benaim, who came from a legal and marketing background, to assist in running and developing the company.

Although Thorne Henderson specialised in the property market, the distribution mechanism was also well suited to other organisations, anyone who needed a professional and cost effective way of getting their message to London homeowners.

Over the years Thorne Henderson have ramped up their ability to deliver large scale marketing solutions by the acquisition of several large industrial letter folding and enveloping machines, now turning over more than 1.5 million letters per year

More than 13 years on from their intial launch, Thorne Henderson have more than 200 clients ranging from small independent companies up to some of the largest Estate Agent chains in London.

Alastair and David realised very early that the key to running a successful distribution business was RELIABILITY. This led to three key principles which are still in place today.

  1. ALL jobs are run on site by experienced managers
  2. ALL staff are on 'the books' and are fully trained before commencing their distribution work
  3. Inspectors are retained to monitor and report back as to job and individual performance
